Scuba Technician Specialist Course
Virginia Scuba's customized Scuba Technician Specialist Course
A multi module course covering all areas of scuba repair and operations. This will prepare you with all the skills you need to get into the dive industry and work at a store as a fully trained and qualified scuba technician.

 

Module 1- Scuba Repair Technician
Open to anyone interested in or all ready working in dive centers. You will learn basic theory of regulator design and function. Disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and finally fine tuning and flow bench operations. Basic BCD service procedures are covered as well. Factory authorized regulator technician level training and certification

 

Module 2 - Cylinder V.I.P. Technician
Open to anyone interested in or all ready working in dive centers. You will learn the US standards and regulations from DOT and the CGA. Testing procedures for external and internal inspection, how to run a tank tumbler as well the "Visual Eddy Current" testing for aluminum cylinders.

 

Module 3 - Oxygen Service Technician
Open to anyone interested in or all ready working in dive centers. You will learn all the requirements for complete cleaning, testing and reassemble of cylinders, valves and regulators. As well as oxygen cleaning and verification of absence of contaminants. You will also be trained in our clean room operations. Virginia Scuba has 1 of only a few oxygen clean rooms located on the East Coast.

 

MODULE 4 - GAS BLENDER
Open to anyone interested in or all ready working in dive centers. Do you know how to truly calibrate an oxygen sensor? You will mix gasses for recreational dives.

 


ADVANCED (TRIMIX) GAS BLENDER
A must for all TRIMIX divers! Learn about the compressibility of gasses. You will learn how to use both oxygen and Helium analyzers for making that perfect blend.
